101 Things I Learned in Fashion School is a book written by Alfredo Cabrera. Alfredo is a fashion designer, teacher and illustrator who has taught and served as critic at Parsons The New School for Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute and the Altos de Chavon School of Design.
The world of fashion is brought to vivid life with 101 introductory lessons on such topics as how a designer anticipates cultural trends and “sees” the fashion consumer, the workings of the fashion calendar, the ways a designer collection is conceived, the manufacture of fabric, fashion illustration, and more.
Some of the interesting tips I learned include the fact that satin is a weave, not a fabric, taking measurements with ease, why jeans have maintained there appeal and who does what in the fashion industry – from the fashion designer to the sample-hand and machine operator.

If women’s fashion changes every day I would say men’s fashion changes every season.
every 6 months mverno@roadrunner.com
once a year
Every year! It so rare that the fashion changes!
I’d say every few months!
I’m following you on Twitter!
@TaraLin
every year, at the most
I think men’s fashion changes each season, but it is a subtle change. I think any major new trend is about once every 5 to 7 years.

Men’s fashions always change more slowly than women but I notice that men are being a lot more daring than thir ancestors about dress. Some of the changes are good I think and I think fashion is becoming more comfortable to wear. People are beginning to demand that their clothing be comfortable as well as looking good.If womens fashions are changing every day men will change their’s once a week to keep up.
I think men’s would change monthly at best.
I’m here from your TT palm shortening giveaway.
follow you on facebook.

I think it is longer, too – I’d say up to every 5 or so years. There’s only so much you can do with pants or shorts and a shirt.
I have no idea how often men’s fashions change (which tells us how society is oriented towards women’s fashions). I’d guess it would be the same as with women, with fashion shows and designers every season!

I think mens fashion changes a couple times a year, but it seems to catch on way slower than women’s fashion does. I have a sister going to school for fashion and she would love this book. Thanks for the chance
